A Single Exercise Abs Workout


Ab workouts for women need not be long or involved, and certainly do not require endless boring cardio sessions to supposedly “burn off” that stubborn abdominal fat. In fact many successful ab workouts require only a single specific ab exercise, in addition to the intensive “combo” work which will form the basis of the total body workout.

As an example why not try the simple kettlebell side deadlift, which will involve all the muscles of the abs and core, as well as the thighs, butt and back. The idea is simply to stand, feet shoulder width apart, with a kettlebell at one side by your foot. Now reach down, arm straight and back flat, as though to pick up a bag or case. Stand up straight and repeat. As simple as it sounds, performed for reps with the heaviest bell you can manage this is a tremendous exercise for the abs and core – just one more example of the effectiveness of kettlebell workouts for women.
